Tummy Tuck

A tummy tuck is a procedure that removes excess skin and fat in the abdomen and in many cases it can restore weakened or separated muscles. This creates a firmer and smoother abdomen and is generally good for people are physically healthy and retain a stable weight, but are having trouble losing the fat and the skin is just not responding to exercise. Combining a tummy tuck and liposuction is generally called a mommy makeover, which is used for women who have had more than one pregnancy and are unable to lose that bulge.

This kind of cosmetic surgery procedure, like many others, is not intended for people who are looking for an alternative to weight loss or exercise. It is recommended that it is a personal choice and that outside forces do not influence the decision. A tummy tuck is not able to correct stretch marks, but may be able to give an improvement depending on where they are located in relation to the treated areas.
